Cape Cod- Unleashing the fun!!

Cape Cod has been just loads of fun so far!! The three of us are thoroughly enjoying ourselves out here and Walley, especially, is having a ball!! The weather has been so very lovely!!

Yesterday afternoon, we took Walley to the Pilgrim Bark Park. It is one acre of fenced space and dogs can stay unleashed so it was a lot of fun for Walley. He could just run around, play with other dogs and basically, just be dog! It was so much fun to watch Walley sprinting away at times! He would race with other dogs, chasing one another, fetch a few tennis balls, get tired after a while and refresh himself at the drinking-water fountain ( just for dogs). If some of the dogs got into a playful fight, Walley would stand a little away and watch over them like a referee. It was so funny! He also flirted a little with a beautiful gray poodle!! It was so interesting to watch all the dogs run towards the entrance just to greet a new dog that arrived at the park. Walley was enjoying himself so much at the park that he conveniently ignored us whenever we called him! Sometimes, he would just turn around to see if we were still standing somewhere in the park watching over him but then he would continue hanging out with his dog buddies. It was hilarious!! It was so cute and funny to watch Walley socialize with all the human friends in the park who would so readily pet him, the adorable dog that he is!! We were at the park for over two hours and it was so much fun just to watch Walley unleash the dog in him! He crashed in bed as soon as when we got to the room. Oh, he was so tired after all that running around!! We took so many pictures at the park but I tried to include only the best shots. I think all the pictures below speak a thousand words. Just enjoy them! Keep scrolling down after viewing the park pictures as there is more blogging about the beach fun too!

Today morning, we took Walley to the beach! It was Walley's first beach experience and he thoroughly enjoyed it! We had to keep him on a leash because it was past 9 am when we got there. Dogs are allowed to stay unleashed only between 6 am and 9 am in the morning and after 6 pm in the evening. But Walley still enjoyed playing in the water, drinking some of it, swimming around for a while and just lazing on the sand!! It was very interesting to watch Walley swim for the very first time. We always knew Walley loved water! Pictures below will say it all! It was quite a walk to and fro the beach so it was really good exercise in the morning for the three of us! The walking trail to the beach was really long yet very scenic so we took a couple pictures on the way back as well.

We've been relaxing in the room since we got back from the beach today. The plan is to take Walley to the bark-park again this afternoon and hang out in the deck of our room later in the evening. Tomorrow morning, we'll be taking Walley to the beach as early as 6 am so he can play in the water and swim around unleashed!! After getting back from the beach, we have to pack up and leave for New York- we're not too excited about that because the past two days in Cape Cod have been such a blast! But the good part is that we'll be home just in time for Walley's birthday on Monday!! And there is so much fun waiting for us in New York as well! I will blog about the rest of Cape Cod after we get home tomorrow. Until then, enjoy these beach and walking trail pictures!!!
