So finally, after a week's work of making a video filled with the best pictures from Walley's Cape Cod trip/1st Birthday celebration and adding the perfect music to enhance the mood of the picture clips, I am ready to post this really cute and funny video! Walley turned one year old today!!!
Finally, the big day has arrived and Walley has just turned one year old!! What a milestone!! Elwyn and I still remember the first day we brought our sweet Walley home. He was so tiny back then and now he is a big boy- one year old!! How time flies! Everyday of the past one year has been so eventful and memorable. Raising our first Golden Retriever puppy has been such a cherished experience so far! Walley is truly our bundle of joy!
Walley had a wonderful birthday celebration and we had great fun too! Today afternoon, we took him to the New York Dog Spa and Hotel where Naresh, the owner of the Dog Hotel, had planned a surprise play date just for our birthday boy. Guess who was the date?? "She" was a beautiful Black Labrador Retriever named "Sunshine"!! And did she brighten up Walley's birthday? Oh yeah, totally!" Walley and "Little Miss Sunshine" played with each other happily and shared some yummy peanut butter "pup-cakes" ( cup-cakes, actually) together. Walley couldn't have had a more romantic birthday celebration than this!! It was just amazing to watch Walley and Sunshine's perfect chemistry! The pictures below are such a visual treat. I am sure you will enjoy them! Naresh ( the owner of the Dog Hotel) is in some of the pictures too! After all, he is responsible for making our Walley's birthday so romantically memorable!
We had another birthday celebration for Walley at our home after we got back from the hotel. We decorated Walley's crate and the couch with birthday balloons. We also got Walley a peanut butter birthday cake and lit a candle for him. We, of course, made a wish for Walley's good health and happiness and then blew the candle off! Walley loved the cake; ate as much as he could! Walley also loves his birthday present which he has inaugurated already! It's a wrought iron mission style feeder. Walley had his first dinner in it. His dinner was no ordinary one either- he had a delicious Angus burger as his birthday treat! Now our munchkin is fast asleep as I type!!
Tomorrow, we are taking Walley to Central Park for the very first time. It should be good fun!
