A merry little Christmas for Walley and us!

Sigh! The best Holiday of the year has come and gone already! That was just so quick. For more than a month, we plan and prepare, dream about the old-fashioned Christmas, shop till we drop, anticipate the fun and excitement that the blessed and joyous day will bring and then after all that, the Christmas day flies by so quickly; before we even know it, we have already opened up the nicely wrapped presents and eaten a sumptuous Christmas dinner. Why couldn't Christmas last a whole year?? Well, the good news is we can celebrate Christmas all year long if we wish to. The Christmas spirit never dies away and it can stay in our hearts for however long we want it to.

Our Christmas this time was a very, very special one. The three of us woke up to a Christmas morning filled with so much fun and excitement. We rushed to the Christmas tree and opened up all the Christmas gifts that Santa Claus had given us. We wanted Walley to open all his gifts first because he is the youngest in the family and the little boy was so thrilled to get so many presents. Surely, Santa believed that Walley was nice this year!

Here are few pictures of Walley with all his Christmas presents. Walley took all his gifts to his bed and enjoyed opening them, one by one. Our munchkin was very, very happy and we were so excited to see him enjoying the blessed day!

Walley got a Plush Bunny toy, a squeaky Rooster toy and a Santa monkey toy from his Santa Parents! And thanks to Tom's (a colleague of mine) thoughtfulness, Walley got some yummy Milkbones as a Christmas gift.

Besides the fun of opening all the Christmas presents, we had a lovely Christmas dinner cooked at home. The specialties of the night were: Poulet au Porto (Roast Chicken Steeped with Port wine, Cream and Mushrooms), Puree De Pommes De Terre A L'ail (garlic mashed potatoes) and Mouselline au Chocolat (Chocolate Mousse). French food simply rocks!!

All in all, we had a quiet and peaceful Christmas day. And, we are thankful to our loving and gracious God for blessing us with Walley this Christmas. Apart from all the lovely gifts Elwyn and I got from Santa this year, the best was just being with each other and our adorable Walley all day long.

Tomorrow, Elwyn and I will be celebrating three years of our blessed and blissful married life together and to celebrate the occasion, the three of us will be heading on a day-trip to Woodstock, NY. This will be officially Walley's first Holiday day-trip. We'll be leaving home early in the morning and will be back before night. We are looking forward to a scenic drive and a fun day with Walley amidst the beautiful Catskill Mountains.
