The three of us have just returned home from Martha's Vineyard after thoroughly enjoying ourselves!! The vineyard was so relaxing for the three of us and we just wished we could have stayed out there a little bit longer. We spent Elwyn's birthday weekend at the Surfside Motel in Oak Bluffs; a quaint little town in Martha's Vineyard. While out there, Elwyn and I enjoyed the amazing seafood especially the lobsters, shrimp and the famous New England Clam Chowder!! Elwyn and I also took a few long and romantic walks in the downtown area of Oak Bluffs and did a little bit of shopping as well! The weather was just perfect while we stayed in the Vineyard. Our Walley also had a tremendous amount of fun!! He just loved running and playing in the 70 acre open grass field called "Trade Winds" just for dogs!!! Yeah, that's a lot of running space for our energetic Golden! He also got a chance to play with some of the other dog visitors out there! Walley did a little bit of shopping too in a store called "Good Dog Goods" where he had an unexpected and surprising play date with 'Mulligan', a very handsome and loving Gordon Setter!! When we walked into the store, the saleslady was so sweet to introduce Walley to Mulligan and just let the two of them play together in her backyard! Walley and Mulligan got along really well and played the "Chase" game for a long time! The three of us just loved taking walks by the pier and gazing at the blue-green Atlantic Ocean. We also spent a short while on the beach shores; the water was so cold so we didn't dare get into it! All in all, we had an immensely relaxing fun birthday weekend in Martha's Vineyard!! It was a short but really sweet trip!! I have been told by a few of my readers that some of my older blog posts are a bit too long so I am practicing to keep my posts as short and precise as possible. However, I have loads of pictures below from our time at Martha's Vineyard which I am sure you will all enjoy!! These pictures speak a ten thousand words for me!
