About 4-5 months ago, we found another really nice Doggie daycare for our Walley. New York Dog Spa and Hotel was a really nice Doggie daycare too and Walley was very comfortable with the place but it was a little too far to walk Walley to and fro especially during the winter months. This new place we found opened up fairly recently (about a year ago) and is at a really close walking distance from our home which makes it so convenient. Also, this daycare is right next to Walley's spa! Isn't that just lovely? And this awesome Doggie daycare is called "Paws and Relax"! Walley loves going there and playing with his friends. He loves the people there who take really good care of him. There is a lovely outdoor space at this daycare where dogs can run around and play in the sun whenever the weather is favorable!
Over the past few months, Walley has gone to Paws and Relax a couple times- sometimes, just for the day to chill out with friends and sometimes, he stayed there for a couple nights while Elwyn and I were out of town. We love Paws and Relax because when our Walley stays there (whether for a day or for a couple nights), we can always watch him on our computer to see what he's upto! Yes!! It doesn't get better than this! Paws and Relax has a web camera set up in their dog run so we can watch our Walley playing with his friends right from wherever we are; on our computers. We just log in to the Paws and Relax "Pooch Watch" and watch our Walley hanging out with his friends! And, I have to tell you'll that it's a lot of fun to watch Walley on the web camera! He just has a ball with his friends!
The people at Paws and Relax are very fond of our Walley! In fact, there is something funny that I want to share with you. When we talked to the people at "Paws and Relax" about enrolling our Walley into day care, they told us that we would need to bring Walley to them for an interview! A dog interview!! Well, as most of you might have already guessed, it was more of a personality test to see how well Walley gets along with other dogs and people and as you all can already guess, our Walley aced the test, being the absolutely friendly and loving dog one can ever be with! But just think about it- Paws and Relax has an interview for all the dogs wanting to be enrolled so you can be rest assured that your dog will always be safe and in good company as he/she will only be playing with the well-behaved dogs!
Below, I am sharing with you a few cute pictures we took on our computer when Walley stayed at Paws and Relax for a couple nights (during the time we were away in Florida with my mother and sister). I am sure you can just guess which one is our Walley! The Golden always stands out especially when he's the attention seeker! Just look at all the dogs here- What a Party!
This last picture might seem a bit confusing because there are two very similar dogs but Walley is the one on the right (slightly more Golden brown).
I hope you'll enjoyed the pictures and for anyone looking for a good Doggie daycare in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, I highly recommend Paws and Relax located at 220 Avenue B, New York, NY 10009! "Unleashed Spa" is right next to this daycare so you can even get your dog groomed at the same time!
I will be blogging again really soon because our Walley turns 2 years old on Tuesday, the 16th!! Yay!

It's Prairie for Walley!
After Walley turned a year old (which was about a year ago) we decided to change his food brand. Until he was 12 months old, we were feeding him the commercially famous Eukanuba brand of puppy food. We had nothing against the brand; in fact it is by far one of the best brands of dog food out there. But, we wanted Walley to eat more healthier and natural food and when we researched several different brands, we found the Nature's Variety Prairie Dog food to be most appealing. At first, we were a bit skeptical to switch from a brand that Walley was already very comfortable with to something new and not so commercially known. But today (almost a year of sticking to the brand), I feel very happy to advertize Prairie to all the dog owners out there!
Ever since Walley has been on the Prairie dog food, his general health has been simply great! His coat's texture and color have been ever more appealing. He always had a soft golden coat but after feeding on the Prairie dry kibble and home style preparations, his coat has become even more softer to touch and much more healthier to look. He was always very playful and his activity level hasn't reduced since feeding on the Prairie food; he's always full of energy! Most of all, Walley loves Prairie whether it's the dry kibble food or the home style preparations; he's always looking forward to his meals ( like any dog would!). Prairie dog food is made only with natural ingredients of very high quality and I totally recommend it to dog owners looking for natural, healthy dog food for their precious ones!
If asked to choose, Walley does prefer the home style preparations of Prairie. Why? As the name itself goes, it looks, smells and tastes just like home cooked "People's" food. The Prairie home style food comes in different flavors like: Chicken Stew with Brown Rice, Sweet Potatoes and Spinach, Beef Stew with Barley, Carrots and Green Beans, Turkey Stew with Brown Rice, Sweet Potatoes and Peas and the list goes on. Walley has tried all of the above mentioned flavors and he loves them!
Here are a few pictures of Walley with his favorite brand of dog food! Enjoy!

Fun Family Time for Walley and Us!!
Wow!! Don't I just feel thrilled to be back on my blog after two long months!!! I am glad to be finally blogging again after a really long time. The three of us were just too busy having a lot of fun for the past two months and so busy that I almost forgot I even have a blog!
Well, well, well! I am having a really hard time figuring out what to blog about first! Why don't I just start off with some really fun and cute pictures from the past two months because I have just too many lovely family memories to share with you'll. As you'll know, my mother and sister visited us in May. They stayed with us for a month and Walley got so attached to them that he misses them terribly now! Luckily, I have a huge collection of wonderful memories of Walley with my mom and sister in the form of pictures. Then, to add more fun and love to our lives, Ben (Elwyn's younger brother) also visited us for dinner one evening in May. Walley had a really fun time with Ben too! Walley surely thought to himself, "I am one lucky guy! So much love from so many people all at once!" Now, I have several picture memories of Walley with Ben as well which you will all see below very shortly. Walley had way too much fun with all of them and then they all left to go back to their homes. Walley was just getting over his withdrawal symptoms from all the family fun in the month of May when much more recently in June, my maternal uncle and his wife (Uncle Ashok and Aunt Sybil) came home one day for lunch. And needless to say, Walley had a fun time with them too!! So much fun! I have used the "fun" word a lot of times in this post so without further adieu, let me show you pictures of the "family fun" Walley had over the past two months!
