Elwyn's Birthday Highlights- Part 1

We've been celebrating Elwyn's birthday since last weekend and it has been fantastic so far. Just like I said in my last post, we had to postpone Walley's first trip to Central Park( which is also going to be part of Elwyn's birthday celebration) but we're still very excited and can't wait for next weekend to enjoy all of that fun stuff. There's a lot more birthday celebration and excitement that is yet to follow. For now, enjoy these pictures of Elwyn's birthday- Part 1 until I blog about Birthday- Part 2. In Birthday Part 1, you will see that we enjoyed everything from Central Park Zoo to a fun-filled birthday cake celebration at home ( the Ebony and Ivory Mousse cake was just so yum; even Walley couldn't resist himself). The quiet birthday dinner at Rouge Tomate was simply one of a kind and the horse-carriage ride in Central Park at night was just heavenly!

A big thank-you to everyone for their phone calls , cards, e-mails and best wishes on Elwyn's birthday. Unlike a lot of people who crib about getting older, we think that our birthdays are a lot of fun and excitement and in many ways, we actually like getting older!! You will see why in these pictures....

Walley's First trip to Central Park postponed

We were eagerly waiting for this weekend to take Walley to Central Park for the first time but we had to postpone the plan because of unfavorable weather:-( So, we have postponed Walley's fun trip to Central Park and we'll be taking him there next weekend. I hope the weather promises to be better just like the weatherman said!

Elwyn's Birthday is tomorrow!!

Woohoo!! It's Birthday time and hence it's Celebration time!! Elwyn's birthday is tomorrow so Walley and I have been planning big surprises for our Hero since a couple of weeks. This is the first birthday celebration at home since Walley joined us. I can't even describe Walley's excitement and mine too of course!! Today, we are just fine-tuning all of our grand arrangements for my hubby and Walley's "Daddy". This is so much fun!! Both Walley and I can't wait for Elwyn to come home ( which is in a couple hours) and the celebration will begin at midnight (the 15th). I have several things to finish up before Elwyn gets home so I am keeping this blog-post ultra-short! Big surprises to follow for Elwyn!! I will blog all about Elwyn's birthday soon!! Till then, please join me in wishing and blessing Elwyn on his big day as he celebrates his 32nd birthday!!

Easter Sunday

Finally I get the time to blog about our Easter Sunday! Well, it was a quiet Easter for the three of us, spent most of our time at home except for Church in the morning. It's too bad that dogs can't go to Church. They are not really allowed there:( Although I know some churches that allow service dogs!

So, like I mentioned earlier it was a quiet Sunday at home with just some special food and Easter gifts we exchanged. Walley got a special meal of Chicken and Rice with some yummy treats to go with it. Elwyn and I enjoyed some Indian food after a long, long time(home-made of course). We had Pork Masala (a spicy Indian Pork Curry) with Challah Rolls (a special type of Middle-Eastern Bread). Also, for dessert we had Badam Halwa (an Indian sweet made essentially with almonds and semolina). That was our Eastern dinner Menu! I know for a fact that the Badam Halwa I made was a super-hit at home because both Walley and Elwyn got into a playful fight with Elwyn trying to keep his sweet bowl away from Walley! Elwyn loves Badam Halwa and Walley is not supposed to it because it's not good for him but he couldn't resist the aroma! Anyway, Walley got a better deal out of it as we gave him a new Easter toy which is a cute quacking duck. He loves it!! We also had a decorative and edible Easter Egg as well as an Easter Bunny which we didn't eat until the day after Easter. You know why! After all that heavy Indian food, there was no way we could stuff another thing in our mounths!! :-)

Here are a few pictures of us on Easter! Enjoy!!
